National Toy Run - Durban

Starts: The Pavillion Westville
Ends: Lords & Ledgends Amazimtoti 

Mass Ride leaves at 09:30 Sharp from the Pavillion
No Quads or Pee wee bikes will be allowed (you will be told to remove your vehicle by the authorities)
All riders to be in possession of a valid Drivers/ Learners License.

Meet at the Pavilion Shopping Mall Top parking level and leaving @ 9am for 9.30am sharp!
End Venue: Lords and Legends Pub and Restaurant. Amanzimtoti Sports Grounds - Cricket pitch side.
MASS RIDE will be escorted by the Durban and Amanzimtoti Metro Police and the KZNMF Road Captains.

I've been asked to advise you that this year they will not allow QUADS, PEE-WEE'S, OFF ROADS OR PIT BIKES and Possibly small SCOOTERS. Do not be disappointed if they haul you off the road - you have been warned.

1) How many SANTA'S will be riding in the Mass Ride?  Last year we made a grand effort to get into the SA Guiness Book of Records - Can we do it this year? The Durban Scootz Club really went all out - are we going to let them win again this year?

Encourage as many members, bikers, and for those that dust their scoots off once a year for the Toy Run, to be part of this exciting event.  How many people can you encourage to this event this year that were'nt there last year? There's more bikes on the road now so you should'nt have too much of a problem as long as their bike is capable!
Once a year we have this opportunity to show the public who we are and to change their minds about bikers and biking in general - so do you think we can behave just a little?

If you bring 2nd hand Toys - please ensure that they are clean and in good repair.
(In other words a puzzle must have ALL the pieces! and the books, all their pages! etc)
You do NOT need to wrap them - we have to unwrap the gift anyway.

To lead the Mass Ride from Pavilion to Lords & Legends (PACE CARS) R10,000 includes erecting your company stand at the end venue in best position. First come first served!
NEED Sponsors for Entertainment; Live Bands . Arena events.
STALLS / STANDS required of a Bike/r interest only! (NO food or bevi's) R500 per stall/stand BYO equipment.
NB: All stands, stalls etc., can be erected by 7 am Sunday 29th Nov., the latest and dismantled by 3 pm same day. There are no security guards supplied for Saturday nite but if we could get an early Sponsorship we wouldn't have a problem entertaining this. The onus would be on the stall/stand owners.

All the Charities requesting Toys collected directly from Durban Toy Run on the day. BOBBI BEAR; CHOC; REVOLUTION MC  collecting on behalf of their many Kiddie charities, QUEEN OF PEACE collecting for their Kiddie Charities and Hospitals; DARE TO DREAM; ETHELBERT HOME; PINETOWN & DURBAN SOUTH & WESTVILLE LIONS CLUBS; and so it went. So many Charities! 
The Charities sent in letters 3 months in advance to ensured that there is no duplication. They are all within our area which is Durban and surrounds to Botha's Hill and 1000 Hills areas. Please email madhatter@highwaydragonsmc.co.za.
Those charities wishing to participate this year are to email your request on your Charity's letterhead stating quantity; numbers of girls and boys and their ages. Children from 0 to 14 years old will be recipients only. Contact details of the responsible person/s. 
If successful you will be required to attend on the day to collect your allocation of Toys at a specified time. If not collected they will be re-allocated to another charity on the day. You will being black refuse bags to exchange for full ones . (Approx., 20 - 25 Toys to a bag)
There are no guarantees that your quota will be filled but Toy Run will do their best to be fair to all in the case of shortages.
REGALIA: First Come - first served! No re-orders!
Cloth & Metal Badges, Metal Year Badges, T-Shirts.

Helmets are to be worn, Dress for the ride and not the Jol! Rather wear 40 kgs of ugly leather than wear a scar all your life! ATGATT! (All the gear all the time)

Cost: Donation/Sponsorship - R500 per single gazebo or R1000 a double. All donations will go towards buying more Toys as they are required.
There will be the normal Flea Market there and they operate thru Lords and Legends Restaurant management. Kindly contact them.

PRESIDENT'S CHALLENGE - Encourage your members to buy you at auction. The President that brings in the most at Auction will choose which LOCAL Children's Charity will be the proud recipient this year of all the money collected for all the Presidents.
Marius from Megaforce, Tubs Highway Dragons and Clive Revolution MC had a three way tie last year and donated their 'Earnings' to 3 kiddies charities 'Bobbi Bear (Amanzimtoti), Isiah (Bluff) and had just lost their government subsidy.

HALLENGE: We need in the region of 30,000 Toys - Durban Toy Run Challenges each and every bike club to collect as many Toys as possible - The club to collect the most - we will ensure instant Fame!
